Two research students at the University of Mumbai were left in shock after discovering the PhD topic they had spent 18 months working on was no longer relevant. They claimed that a failure by the university to upload PhD theses on the Indian digital repository Shodhganga had led to a waste of their academic time. The University has been accused of violating University Grants Commission guidelines by failing to upload all theses on the platform, with the Mumbai University and College Teachers?
