An Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe into Chinese loan apps has revealed that employees were instructed to use abusive language for quick recovery of dues from Indian debtors. The ED has recovered WhatsApp messages exchanged between the Chinese firm?s Bangalore-based official and his Shanghai-based superior that contain the incriminating instructions. The Chinese national Yan Peng Qu, the absconding director of the accused firm who supervised its illegal operations before exiting the country in November 2020, has a look-out notice issued against him.

Actor Rahul Raj Singh has asked the Bombay High Court to expedite the hearing on his discharge plea over the abetment to suicide of TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee. Singh claimed the case had ruined his acting career and that he had lost work due to the matter. Banerjee died by suicide in 2016, and Singh was granted anticipatory bail in July of that year.

Udaybhan Yadav, a porter being treated for leg injuries at IGM hospital, blamed the building collapse on the overloading of the warehouse with tonnes of cargo.
