Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announced 10-hour uninterrupted power supply to the agriculture sector during the kharif season and inaugurated a newly built 30-bed hospital. He also announced development works worth ?21 crore and assured ?31 crore in the next instalment. Activists of Bhartiya Kisan Union protested against the CM's visit, claiming compensation for crop damages. Mann also dedicated the renovated Baba Banda Singh Bahadur District Library and announced the upgrade of 28 more libraries in Sangrur villages and the opening of eight coaching centres for free coaching for competitive exams.
