Two junior engineers have complained to Mumbai police that they were allegedly abused and one was slapped by independent legislator Geeta Jain while on duty. The engineers, who work for the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, have requested that an FIR be registered against Jain, who supports the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. The incident was filmed and posted on social media, where it quickly went viral. Jain claimed that the municipal corporation was carrying out an unlawful demolition, but insisted that she did not regret taking the law into her own hands.

FYJC admissions in Mumbai witness a rise in cut-off percentages with most colleges setting their cut-off above the 90% mark, compared to last year.
